For several months, a satisfaction survey on the taste of my Arita cheeses has been conducted with the help of a few stores. Although I don’t yet have permission to sell them, I can nevertheless give them away, something I’ve been doing for years.
Having recently achieved a taste that I consider satisfactory for sale, I’ve started offering them to restaurants to gather their feedback.
The chef of a restaurant, having found the cheese excellent, asked me for a survey form that she would give to her customers with a portion. The goal is to understand how Japanese consumers respond to a Japanese cheese that has the characteristics of a French cheese.
As of 29th December, 2025, there have been 278 responses, summarized in the graphs below.
The results are very encouraging:
- 69% of participants found the cheese delicious or even excellent.
- 63% said they would recommend it to others.
